Trees Erasmus+ Project in Action
Environmental Sustainability
The program aimed to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, with a particular focus on tree preservation. It sought to educate students and the wider community about the critical role trees play in maintaining ecological balance, air quality, and climate regulation
21st-Century Skills Development
The program intended to equip students with essential skills required for success in the 21st century. This included critical thinking, digital literacy, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. The development of these skills was integrated into various project activities
Intercultural Understanding
By involving students and educators from different countries (Cyprus, Italy, Germany, Portugal, and Bulgaria), the program aimed to foster intercultural understanding. It provided opportunities for participants to learn about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives, promoting tolerance and global citizenship.
Hands-On Learning
The program incorporated practical, hands-on activities, such as tree planting ceremonies and the creation of educational materials, to engage students actively in environmental conservation efforts.
Global Awareness
It sought to expand participants' global awareness, helping them understand how environmental issues transcend national borders and impact the entire planet. This global perspective was essential for addressing complex environmental challenges.
Dissemination
The program aimed to share project outcomes and messages with a broader audience. Activities like open letters, presentations, videos, and the Trees Digital Game were designed to disseminate information about the project's goals and the importance of tree preservation.
